Light rubbing to wrappers, some bleed of illustrations through the linen paper, else a remarkably clean, bright copy.

Early printing. A wonderful linen picture book from the renowned publishing firm McLoughlin Brothers, a leading publisher in childrens books from the mid-nineteenth through early twentieth century. This early alphabet book features wonderful, humorous rhyming couplets highlighting a different animal for each letter, all printed on glossy linen sheets.
