This BOOKS of WONDER Classic edition features all 42 of John Tenniels original illustrations, expertly reproduced from one of only 250 sets of prints created from the original woodblock engravings. These engravings capture a depth of detail and subtlety of expression that was lost due to poor reproduction in earlier editions. Featuring an afterword by Peter Glassman detailing how the engravings were created, lost, found, and finally used to create this edition and a dust jacket featuring one of Tenniels classic pictures, hand-colored by Caldecott Medalist Paul O. Zelinsky.
